Since 2010, the African Women's Development and Communication Network (FEMNET) has embarked on a building project to establish the Africa Women's Power Centre in Nairobi, Kenya. The land where the Centre will be located has been identified and purchased. The total cost of the project is estimated at US $ 3,067,333. FEMNET has set up an Endowment Fund for this purpose and so far we have been able to raise Kshs. 10,000,000/= (equivalent of US $ 120,481).

The Africa Women's Power Centre will provide a safe space where African women from all walks of life, can meet (physically and otherwise) and interact to generate new ideas, strategies and actions for change. It will be a space where we can tap into the potential that exists in our diversities, and pool our energies to co- create a better world for all. Remember there is no development without us, nothing for African women without your involvement.
How can you make your contribution as an individual or organization?
Buy or Pledge Bricks: Pay for 10, 20, 50 or 100 bricks that will build the walls of the Power Centre. Each set of 10 bricks is equivalent to US$ 100.
All persons and organizations that make a contribution to the Africa Women's Power Centre will have their names inscribed on THE POWER WALL which will be at the centre of this building.
