Inequality is one of the biggest challenges facing the world today, and all nations have an equal obligation to creating a more just world. The October 2012 edition of The Economist, wrote: “Growing inequality is one of the biggest social, economic and political challenges of our time.” In the last couple of years various stakeholders have been coming together to participate in various national, regional and global deliberations that will shape the post 2015 MDGs agenda. Evidently, a post 2015 framework needs to focus on equality, through promoting gender justice, progressive redistribution, structural transformation, corporate regulation, and social protection so as to make the world more equally prosperous and peaceful.
